Breaking the Myth of King Nebuchadnezzar dream of Golden Statue:
As written in Dan 2:28 God in heaven reveals secrets. He did it too to Nebuchadnezzar (Heathen)what shall be in Later days.
As written in Dan 2:28 God in heaven reveals secrets. He did it too to Nebuchadnezzar (Heathen)what shall be in Later days.
In his dream he saw a huge statue showing different parts of the body of the image made of different metal. This dream was interpreted by Daniel in order to show the power and Plan of our God Most High.
1. The Golden head was interpreted as the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, the emperor of Babylon between 606BC-538 B.C.
2. The breast and the arms of Silver was the Medo-Persian Empire between 538-331 B.C.
3. The belly and the thighs of Brass was the Grecian Empire between 331-63 B.C.

Dan 2:44-45 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Forasmuch as thou saws that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
In the days of these kings, the kings of partly iron and partly clay kingdom. God said he will establish his kingdom [in this context the exact word in Hebrew is Dominion] which shall never be destroyed:
we all know for sure ‘Christ is the Rock’. Bible also talks about another rock. Read below
1 Corin 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Matt 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

As you can see here the name peter in Greek language is ‘petros’ which means “a piece of rock” or “a detached stone”
‘Petra’ is a solid or native rock, rising up through the earth –A huge rock, boulder and ‘petros’ means a detached stone or boulder it’s obvious that this small rock must have been detached from the main huge rock or huge boulder who is “LORD JESUS CHRIST” Another striking resembles is that ‘Petra’ is masculine and ‘petros’ is feminine resembling our relationship between the Lord Jesus Christ as Bride groom and Bride.
Dan 2:44 …..And the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold;
Jesus said , thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
When Jesus said ‘thou art peter’ he was emphasizing on the meaning of his name saying you are a detached rock (from a huge rock which is Jesus himself). Upon you, said Jesus, I will build the church.
Church is a place where a group of people (popularly known as Christians) believing Jesus Christ as God and Saviour gather together to praise and worship God and learn more about Jesus Christ. These groups began immediately after Jesus resurrection. In fact Jesus himself initiated the Gathering. Acts1:4 says…. “Being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, said he, you have heard of me”. Acts 1:13-14 says And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where stayed both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. During those times their gathering was often in secret as there was lot of persecution going on, on believers of Christ by the Romans. Jesus named this group as church and taught act of forgiveness towards fellow brethren belonging to the Church in Matt 18:17
After Jesus this group was headed by Peter They continued to call this group ‘church’. After Pentecost numerous were added continually. The word ‘Christians’ was invented in early 40’s AD. You will find these words in:
1 peter4:16 yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
Acts 11:26 and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Acts 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuaded me to be a Christian.
Besides being put to death they [the Christians] were made to serve as objects of amusement; they were clad in the hides of beast and torn to death by dogs; others were crucified, others set on fire to serve to illuminate the night when daylight failed. Nero had thrown open his grounds for the display, and was putting on a show in the circus, where he mingled with the people in the dress of a charioteer or drove about in his chariot. All this gave rise to a feeling of pity, even toward men whose guilt merited the most exemplary punishment; for it was felt that they were being destroyed not for the public good but to satisfy the cruelty of an individual. But........The gates of hell could not prevail against the army (Christians) of the Lord!
Dan 2:45 Forasmuch as thou saw that the stone(peter) was cut out of the mountain(Jesus) without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold (heathen gods); To prove this read the following:
A brief history of Roman Empire-
27 BC The first Roman Emperor, AGUSTUS, came into Power
61 AD queen Boudicca led a revolt against the Romans
83 AD Roman victory in Scotland
410 AD The end of Roman rule in Britian
476 AD The end of the Western Roman Empire.
What kind of gods did Romans worship? At first, Romans believed in many different gods and goddesses. These gods were like people, but with magical powers. The Roman gods were part of a family. People told stories or myths about them. Each god or goddess looked after different people or things.
These are a few of the old Roman gods:
Saturn: once king of the gods, his place was taken by his son (Jupiter). Saturn was the god of seed-sowing. A merry Roman holiday or festival, the Saturnalia, was named after him.
Jupiter: god of the sky, he was the most important god.
Juno: Jupiter's wife, she looked after women.
Neptune: Jupiter's brother, he was the god of the sea.
Minerva: goddess of wisdom and women's work, such as weaving cloth.
Mars: god of war, though originally god of farming.
Venus: goddess of love, she was the lover of Mars.
· What went on a Roman temple? People worshipped the gods in special buildings called temples. Inside the temple was a statue of a god. Priests looked after the temple. People went there to make sacrifices or offerings of food, flowers or money. Sometimes the priest killed an animal, such as a bull, as part of the sacrifice ceremony. Some Emperors said they were gods too, so everyone had to make a sacrifice to the Emperor.
Romans also had gods at home. They believed in household spirits that protected the family. They had miniature temples, or shrines, in their homes. The family would make offerings of food and drink to the household gods, and pray for good luck and protection.
The Romans believed that a person's spirit went to the underworld after the person died. To get there, the dead needed to cross the River Styx. The dead person's family would leave a coin on the dead body, to pay the ferryman, whose name was Charon.
Some of these old beliefs changed when Christianity was made the official religion of the Roman Empire by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th century AD. Before then, Christians got into trouble because they refused to worship the emperor as a God. Some Christians were arrested and put to death.Today world Christian population proves Dan 2:35 "and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."The gates of hell shall not prevail against the army (Christians) of the Lord!

The end of dream !
Peter talks about Jesus as a Living Stone and also calls us[the church members- individually] you yourselves are like living stones are built up as a Spiritual House in our hearts in which we not only are Holy priest but we also offer spiritual sacrifices .
AFTER BEING BORN AGAIN
[1 Peter 2:2-12] Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation- if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture:
“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
So the honour is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,
“The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were DESTINED to do. But you are a CHOSEN race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession,
that you may PROCLAIM the excellencies of HIM who called you out of DARKNESS into his MARVELLOUS LIGHT.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
Keep your conduct among the Gentiles [DIS-BELIEVER OF CHRIST] honourable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation-[1 Peter 2:2-12]
THE SPIRITUAL HOUSE THAT WE BUILD WITH JESUS AS ITS FOUNDATION/CORNER STONE IS
A TEMPLE OF GOD
I Corin 3: 9-23 For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw- each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit [HOLY SPIRIT]dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age[WORLDLY WISDOM], let him become a fool that he may become wise[GODLY WISDOM].
For the wisdom of this world is folly with God.For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”
and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” So let no one BOAST IN MEN. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas [Peter in hebrew]or the world or life or death Or the present or the future all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
